Full Sexual Health Screen

If you have any symptoms of a sexually transmitted infection then we recommend that you have one our full sexual health screens. We can use a urine sample or a vaginal swab to determine what is causing the problem. If you have a burning sensation when passing urine or you have an unusual discharge then this is the appropriate test for you.

What the Full Screen tests for:

• Chlamydia
• Gonorrhoea
• Herpes 1 & 2
• Ureaplasma
• Mycoplasma Genitalium
• Trichomonas
• Gardnerella Vaginalis

These are the most common infections that cause symptoms in the genital area and can be detected from urine or swab samples.

Full Screen Plus

As well as all of the infections set out above, we can offer the Full Screen Plus, which includes the following:

• HIV
• Syphilis
• Hepatitis B
• Hepatitis C

The Full Screen Plus requires a small blood sample that is extracted using a finger prick device that is specially designed for use at home. The blood collection kit is very easy to use and does not cause any pain.

Full Screen Extended

As well as covering everything in the Full Screen Plus, the Full Screen Extended includes an oral and rectal swab for the detection of Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea in the throat and rectum.

How Long Does the Test Take?

As we are testing for a number of different things, the full screen can take up to 2 working days to complete.

All results are processed in an accredited lab, using the latest techology available.

What if I test positive?

If you test positive for anything other than blood-borne infections, we will arrange appropriate treatment for you.
